Lead the future of drug-device combination products at LEO Pharma.

Are you ready to combine strategic leadership, technical depth, and people development in a role that directly supports the delivery of innovative pharmaceutical products to patients? As Senior Manager for Device and Packaging, you will lead a team of skilled subject matter experts and play a central role in shaping how we develop, qualify, launch, and manage drug-device combination products and packaging solutions across their lifecycle.

Your role

You will lead the strategy, development, qualification, and lifecycle management of drug-device combination products, primary packaging, and secondary packaging. You will provide technical leadership across development, commercialisation, tech transfer, launches, and post-approval changes, while ensuring compliance with global regulatory, quality, GMP, and design control requirements. You will also manage resource planning, project priorities, timelines, and team deliverables, while representing the function in governance forums, project teams, and external partner discussions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing a team of technical SMEs across on-site and remote locations.
  • Providing technical leadership for device components, container closure systems, and packaging configurations.
  • Supporting new product development, product launches, tech transfers, line extensions, and post-approval changes.
  • Partnering with Quality and Regulatory on design control, risk management, change control, deviations, CAPAs, and submissions.
  • Driving continuous improvement of processes, templates, standards, and best practices.

You will be responsible for setting direction, enabling timely decision-making, and developing scalable ways of working in a fast-paced pharmaceutical environment.

Your qualifications

We are looking for an experienced leader with good technical and regulatory expertise, solid experience from pharma, biotech, medical devices, or combination products, and the ability to turn complexity into clear direction. As a person, you are a confident and collaborative leader who communicates clearly, builds trust, and creates momentum. You thrive in a matrix organisation, make sound decisions in ambiguous situations, and balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.

We imagine that you have:

  • A degree in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Materials Science, Life Sciences, or another relevant discipline.
  • Relevant experience from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or combination product industry.
  • Experience with drug-device combination products, primary packaging, and/or secondary packaging.
  • Prior people management or team leadership experience.
  • Good knowledge of GMP, design controls, risk management, change control, and regulatory expectations.

It will be an advantage if you have experience with injectable products, prefilled syringes, autoinjectors, pens, or other drug delivery systems. Experience with global regulatory submissions, product development, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or packaging validation will also be highly relevant.

Your new team

You will lead Device & Packaging in Ballerup, Denmark, as part of LEO Pharma’s Pharmaceutical Development organisation. The team works across functions and geographies to support product development, commercialisation, lifecycle management, and compliance for device and packaging activities.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues in Quality, Regulatory Affairs, External Manufacturing, Business Development, other areas in Pharmaceutical Development, HR, and other key business areas. Together, you will help ensure that LEO Pharma continues to deliver high‑quality products and solutions that make a meaningful difference for patients.
