Job summary

Shark Gaming Systems A/S seeks an experienced Magento/Adobe Commerce developer to build and maintain custom modules for our Scandinavian-focused e-commerce platform. You will lead architectural decisions, optimize performance, and ensure robust integrations with payment and logistics providers.

Proficiency in PHP and Magento internals is essential, including DI, plugins, and EAV behavior. On-site presence in Glostrup is required, with no relocation coverage. Start date negotiable.

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on Magento/Adobe Commerce development.

• Strong MySQL with indexing, query plans and ORM awareness.
• Experience integrating payment and logistics APIs.
• Debugging/production investigation with monitoring tools.
• Ability to own a problem from report to verified fix independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom Magento/Adobe Commerce modules with architectural input.

Job description

Shark Gaming builds high-performance gaming PCs and sells them across Scandinavia, with a B2B business across Europe. Our webshop runs on Adobe Commerce Cloud, and around 50 people depend on it working.

The work:

Custom module development on Adobe Commerce Cloud (PHP 8.x). Integrations with payment, logistics and marketing platforms. Our analytics and server-side tracking pipeline. Caching and performance across Fastly, Redis and MySQL. Test coverage in the modules and end-to-end. AI-assisted development as a daily method.

We need:

• Several years of hands-on Magento / Adobe Commerce development, at a level where you've made architectural calls and lived with the consequences
• Expert PHP, and fluency in Magento's non-obvious layers - plugin and preference semantics, DI compilation, EAV performance behaviour, cache and index invalidation
• Strong MySQL: indexes, query plans, and knowing when the ORM is the wrong tool
• Integration experience against payment and logistics APIs
• Debugging and production investigation, ideally with New Relic or similar
• Ability to own a problem from report to verified fix, independently

Nice to have:

Fastly or CDN work, deploy pipelines, analytics and tracking, and a personal interest in gaming.

On-site in Glostrup, five days a week. Being at the office every working day means you'll need to be based somewhere that makes a daily commute realistic. No remote, and we don't cover relocation - though EU-based candidates already planning a move to Copenhagen are welcome to apply.
