Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is needed.
Strong understanding of AWS services such as EKS and S3.

About the Role

This is not a pure research role.

We are looking for an engineer who enjoys turning machine learning solutions into reliable production systems.

You will work across the entire ML lifecycle, from data pipelines and model evaluation to deployment, monitoring, optimization, and production operations. The role combines Machine Learning Engineering, MLOps, Cloud Infrastructure, and Software Engineering to ensure our AI services operate efficiently at scale.

What You Will Do

Production ML Engineering

Design, build, and maintain ML inference pipelines processing thousands of image orders daily
Deploy and operate machine learning services on GPU‑backed Kubernetes clusters (AWS EKS and On‑Prem)
Develop and improve production‑ready models for image processing tasks, including classification, segmentation, detection, and enhancement
Build and maintain data pipelines supporting model training, validation, and continuous improvement

Performance Optimization & Scalability

Monitor and optimize system reliability, latency, throughput, and resource utilization
Tune autoscaling configurations and concurrency settings based on production traffic patterns
Profile and improve GPU utilization, memory consumption, and inference performance
Establish monitoring, benchmarking, observability, and SLA dashboards

Build‑vs‑Buy & Technology Evaluation

Evaluate open‑source models, frameworks, APIs, and managed AI services
Benchmark external solutions against in‑house approaches
Make recommendations based on performance, cost, scalability, maintainability, and business value
Participate in architectural discussions and technology decision‑making

MLOps & Software Engineering

Apply CI/CD best practices to ML workflows
Implement automated testing, reproducible training pipelines, and deployment standards
Build monitoring, observability, and model health tracking frameworks
Ensure reliability and maintainability across production systems

Global Collaboration

Work closely with Denmark‑based R&D teams on technical decisions and solution design
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, sprint planning, and knowledge sharing
Contribute to technical documentation and engineering best practices

What We Are Looking For

Must‑Have Qualifications

At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in Machine Learning Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related role focused on production ML systems
Strong Python programming skills
Experience with at least one deep learning framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
Hands‑on experience building or operating ML pipelines in production
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Strong understanding of cloud platforms, preferably AWS (EKS, S3, SQS, CloudWatch)
Experience with CI/CD, testing, deployment automation, and software engineering best practices
Experience integrating external APIs, open‑source tools, or third‑party AI services
Strong written and spoken English communication skills

Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications

Computer Vision or image processing experience
Experience with GPU computing and inference optimization
Experience with event‑driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)Knowledge of model monitoring, drift detection, and observability frameworks
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and autoscaling patterns
Experience evaluating third‑party AI vendors and managed AI services
