Job summary

ALK is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to drive finance-related IT initiatives from inception to execution, leading the S/4HANA journey. You will coordinate internal and third-party resources, facilitate workshops and guide the business through change in a structured, proactive way.

Based at ALK HQ in Hørsholm, Denmark, with regular travel to Madrid and Kraków where SAP teams and finance colleagues reside. Fluent English and a track record in SAP/S4HANA projects are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, business or relevant fields.
• Proven experience in IT project management, ideally with finance, reporting or analytics projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills, and the ability to support a business through change.
• Structured, organized and proactive working style.
• Familiarity with SAP, S/4HANA and BW/data modelling — you don’t need to be an expert, but you should be comfortable operating in this landscape and speaking with the specialists.
• Willingness to travel internationally, primarily to Madrid and Kraków.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

The Role

As a Senior IT Project Manager at ALK, you will lead important finance‑related IT initiatives from inception to execution, with a central role in our S/4HANA journey. You are first and foremost a strong project manager and facilitator who can guide the business through change. Your tasks will include:

• Ensuring timely, on‑budget project delivery and successful milestone achievement.
• Aligning project outcomes with the strategic vision of the business.
• Coordinating internal and third‑party resources effectively.
• Facilitating workshops and supporting the business through the change process.
• Driving finance projects with an emphasis on reporting, analytics and data modelling — including the redesign of our BW setup — alongside the connected changes across the core finance ERP.
• Steering the relationship with the Steering Committee and Project Group towards collaborative success.

Being structured, organized and proactive, you will anticipate issues before they arise and know when to involve the right people at the right time.

This role is based at our headquarters in Hørsholm, Denmark, where you will work closely with the hiring manager and senior finance leadership. As our SAP team is located in Madrid and much of the finance team sits in Kraków, you can expect regular travel to both locations.

What We're Seeking

We are on the lookout for a candidate with:

• A master’s degree in engineering, business or relevant fields.
• Proven experience in IT project management, ideally with finance, reporting or analytics projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills, and the ability to support a business through change.
• A structured, organized and proactive working style.
• Familiarity with SAP, S/4HANA and BW/data modelling — you don’t need to be an expert, but you should be comfortable operating in this landscape and speaking with the specialists. Having already been part of an S/4HANA journey is a strong advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally, primarily to Madrid and Kraków.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Familiarity with GxP pharma environments is desirable, but not mandatory.
