Job summary

Unity seeks a Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer to join its Security team to drive security standards, policies, and assessments for engineering changes. You will conduct design reviews, risk analyses, threat modeling, and ensure infrastructure security across the organization, including AI/ML tooling environments.

Responsibilities include maintaining secure configurations, writing technical documentation, and guiding security initiatives with collaborators worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure) and security reviews.
• Proficient in risk assessment, threat modeling and security controls.
• Knowledge of NIST, PCI-DSS, SOC2 is preferred.
• Ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders.

Job description

The opportunity Unity is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer to join our Security team to drive continuous improvement and implementation of security standards, policies, and Security Assessments (SA) for engineering changes. Primary responsibilities include conducting design reviews, technical documentation, questionnaire assessments, and Threat Modeling for critical systems. Responsibilities will also extend to ensuring infrastructure security standards are implemented and enforced throughout the organization, including securing infrastructure that supports AI/ML tooling as adoption accelerates across the org. The ability to conduct risk analysis, file issues, and track risk findings is critical. You will have the opportunity to not only impact but shape the future of the Security team at Unity.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform the security design reviews and conduct risk assessments for production instances
• Use threat modeling and AI capabilities to improve identification of cybersecurity long term threats, prioritize them, and perform effective risk mitigation, to support business.
• Perform the Projects / Products information security assessment and support infrastructure security Project efforts
• Develop security standards, policies for systems used in Unity
• Deploy, maintain and drive the secure system configuration according to standards and best practices

What We’re Looking For

• Thorough knowledge of Cloud computing environments such as GCP, AWS, Azure with knowledge for architectural reviews and experience with micro-services technologies such as Containers, Kubernetes, Hashicorp Vault
• Experience in automation using Bash, Python and/or DevOps Terraform/Ansible
• Knowledge of security features and controls AuthN, AuthZ, PKI, Session Management, Logging
• Deep Understanding of network security fundamentals; the TCP/IP stack, Linux/Mac/Windows operating systems, DNS, Firewall, VPN, Email
• Experience of NIST framework, PCI-DSS, SOC2 is preferred.
• Ability to evaluate and accelerate secure adoption of AI-powered engineering tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) without compromising existing security posture
• Understanding of securing AI/ML infrastructure (model endpoints, data pipelines, inference environments) and familiarity with emerging AI-specific risks (prompt injection, model/data poisoning)
• You might also have (optional) Comfortable with ambiguity and bringing clarity to any situation.
• Ability to adapt and pivot based on business requirements and risk profile changes
• Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience
• Passion for expanding your knowledge and a desire to grow beyond your current skill set
• This position requires the incumbent to have a sufficient knowledge of English to have professional verbal and written exchanges in this language since the performance of the duties related to this position requires frequent and regular communication with colleagues and partners located worldwide and whose common language is English.

Base Salary Range

We determine the base salary range for this role based on your primary work location: Zone A: kr702,200 - kr1,053,400 DKK gross This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate’s relevant experience, professional background, and skill set.
