Job summary

Ramboll invites applications for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Copenhagen to join our Geo Structures team. You will contribute to geotechnical design and analysis for major infrastructure projects, working with international and Danish colleagues to deliver innovative solutions.

You will lead complex analyses of retaining structures and foundations, guide junior engineers, and develop new ideas to advance ground engineering. Fluency in English is required; Danish skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of working experience.
• A good quality BEng degree with substantial geotechnical engineering or engineering geology content.
• A master’s degree or higher focusing on geotechnical engineering or engineering geology would be beneficial.
• Proven ability to conduct complex analyses of retaining structures and complex foundations.
• Experience in rock engineering and/or geo-seismic engineering would be advantageous.
• Knowledge and demonstrable experience in using Python to solve technical problems.
• Written and oral communication skills in Danish are beneficial but not essential for this role.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• A solid understanding of commercial controls needed to deliver work in a manner that aligns with our business objectives.

• Planning and conducting analysis of geotechnical structures using various proprietary tools.
• Guiding less experienced engineers to deliver analysis and design.

• Carrying out research and development of new ideas and products to enable Ramboll to provide sustainable solutions for society.
• Assist in marketing our skills to identify and secure exciting new projects and contracts that build on our existing industry and market relationships.

As our new Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on delivering challenging ground engineering projects that support the construction of new railways, ports, renewable energy facilities, highways, and high-quality new buildings. We also advise clients on the impact of new work on both natural and man-made environments, ensuring projects proceed sustainably and safely. Our team includes experts in the field who will guide and support your career development, enhancing the skills you bring to Geostructures.
