Senior Firewall & Security Consultant

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Firewall & Security Consultant to support enterprise customers with network security, firewall projects, security assessments, troubleshooting, and infrastructure optimization.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience with enterprise firewall technologies, network security, and complex network environments. The successful candidate should be comfortable working directly with customers and taking ownership of technical assignments throughout the implementation and support lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise firewall solutions.
• Review and optimize firewall policies, rules, NAT, objects, and security profiles.
• Perform firewall configuration reviews, security audits, and security hardening.
• Configure and troubleshoot site‑to‑site and remote‑access VPNs.
• Work with IPS/IDS, application control, web filtering, antivirus, SSL inspection, and threat prevention technologies.
• Design and implement network segmentation and secure network architectures.
• Troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and connectivity issues.
• Conduct network security assessments and support penetration-testing activities.
• Analyze network traffic and packet captures using tools such as Wireshark.
• Troubleshoot security incidents and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Support firewall high availability, redundancy, upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery.
• Provide technical recommendations and remediation plans to customers.
• Prepare HLD/LLD documents, network diagrams, configuration documentation, and security assessment reports.
• Participate in planned maintenance and scheduled after‑hours or weekend activities when required.
• Work closely with customers and technical teams during implementation, troubleshooting, and support activities.
• Ensure security implementations follow enterprise security standards, best practices, and customer requirements.

• Ability to analyze complex security and network issues and provide effective technical solutions.

Experience & Qualifications
