Job summary

Maersk Container Industry (MCI) invites a commercially minded Senior Finance Business Partner to join our transformation journey across Denmark and China. You will partner with procurement, manufacturing, and operations to drive profitability, control costs, and enable strategic investments.

You will lead planning and performance management, translate financial data into actionable insights, and develop dashboards and reports to support management decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering Economics or similar.
• Several years of experience in Finance Business Partnering, FP&A, Operational Finance, Performance Management, Manufacturing Finance, Supply Chain Finance, or Business Controlling.
• Experience in an international industrial, manufacturing, or production environment.
• Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Experience with financial planning, forecasting, and performance management.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI.
• Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the dedicated Finance Business Partner for Procurement and related functions across Denmark and China.
• Support manufacturing and factory productivity initiatives in partnership with local finance and operational teams.
• Challenge and support business leaders in driving performance, profitability, cost optimization, and value creation.
• Translate financial data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning within areas of responsibility.
• Drive monthly financial performance reviews and support management decision-making.
• Monitor financial performance against targets and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Build business cases and support investment decisions related to productivity and transformation initiatives.
• Partner with operational teams to understand processes, identify inefficiencies, and drive performance improvements.
• Develop reporting, dashboards, and analytical tools that increase transparency and support decision making.
• Perform financial controlling and performance management across business areas.
• Support monthly reporting processes and management reviews.
• Collaborate closely with accounting and finance teams in both Denmark and China.
• Participate in group reporting activities towards A.P. Moller - Maersk.
