DHI is seeking a senior ecotoxicology expert to strengthen its international Environment & Toxicology team in Denmark. You will connect ecotoxicology, environmental science and water modelling to deliver science-based advisory solutions for clients tackling aquatic environmental challenges.

The role emphasizes leading advisory projects, developing business opportunities, coordinating knowledge-sharing activities, and mentoring colleagues to maintain high scientific standards.

Qualifications

• A relevant university degree in ecotoxicology, environmental chemistry, environmental science, biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, water or environmental engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• A PhD or other advanced qualification is an advantage.
• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in ecotoxicology, environmental chemistry, environmental risk assessment, chemicals in the environment or a closely related advisory field.
• Experience leading technically complex projects, including scope, quality, budget, schedule and stakeholder management.
• Proven ability to originate or develop business, build client relationships and contribute to successful proposals or tenders.
• Good understanding of environmental regulation, market developments and needs of industry and public-sector clients.
• Experience working in an international or multidisciplinary setting.
• Proficient in English (professional level)

Responsabilités

• Deliver expert advisory within regulatory and scientific aspects of eco-toxicology and environmental risk assessment.
• Lead business development within advisory area of environment and ecotoxicology.
• Plan and execute internal and external activities for knowledge distribution and business development.
• Serve as project manager in own projects and participate in others within the portfolio.
• Perform quality assurance and mentor younger colleagues.
• Establish and maintain good practices for international collaboration in E&T.
