Too Good To Go is hiring a Data Engineer for the Parcels product domain in Copenhagen. You will be embedded with Product Managers, Tech Leads, and Engineers to design data pipelines and warehouse architecture for direct-to-consumer logistics and partner analytics.
You will work with Airflow, Python, dbt, Metaflow, and Terraform in a GitOps environment within a scale-up data platform. Hybrid work setup at Copenhagen HQ with strong focus on data quality and governance.
At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious goal: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together. 40% of all food produced in the world is wasted, contributing to 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions. We're more than an app, we are a certified B Corporation working across 19 countries to drive change through our marketplace app, educational tools, legislative work, and logistics initiatives.
We're growing fast: Our community of 118 million registered users and 246,000 active partners across 19 countries, have together already prevented 443+ million meals from going to waste - avoiding over 1.198.000 tonnes of CO2e!
Unlike our core local marketplace - where customers pick up "Surprise Bags" in-store, our Parcels business delivers ambient, shelf-stable surplus food directly from major FMCG manufacturers and wholesalers to the customer's door.
In this role, you won't just sit in a central data team; you will be embedded directly alongside Product Managers, Tech Leads, and Software Engineers in the Parcels product domain.
You will act as the dedicated data engineer for Parcels, designing the data pipelines and warehouse architecture needed to support direct-to-consumer logistics, inventory management, and manufacturer partner analytics - all while remaining connected to our overarching central data infrastructure.
Our data stack consists of Airflow, Python, dlt, AWS (Redshift, Lambda, Kinesis, S3, Glue), dbt, Metaflow, and Terraform managed via GitOps principles.
A Movement for Everyone
We want to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together. With that mission, it's only natural that we want to build a diverse and inclusive team of highly capable individuals who are passionate about doing things in a better way. We strongly believe we all excel and are more creative when we're allowed to be ourselves, and we're committed to a culture where all of us belong.
We are an equal opportunity employer and all employment is decided on the basis of qualifications, merit and business need. If you need reasonable accommodation at any point in the application or interview process, please let us know.
