Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to bridge business stakeholders and SAP data, delivering accurate reporting. The role sits in the Data & Insights team and collaborates with Finance, Sales, and IT to translate needs into data solutions.

You will optimize SQL, build Excel models, and ensure data quality while supporting cross-functional decision making in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

5+ years in a data/analyst role, preferably retail/consumer.
Strong SQL skills with complex queries.
Advanced Excel: pivot tables, lookups, data modeling.
Experience with SAP data structures (FI/SD).
Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or willingness to learn.
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
Proven ability to gather requirements from stakeholders.
Strong stakeholder management with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into data requirements.
Collaborate with data engineers to scope and validate SAP data requirements.
Write and optimize SQL queries for recurring and ad hoc reporting.
Build and maintain Excel-based models and reports used for decision-making.
Consolidate data into stakeholder-ready reporting and perform data checks.
Scope ambiguous requests, manage expectations, and provide clarity.
Identify data quality issues and work with SAP owners to resolve.
Document data definitions, sources, and logic for auditability.
Seek ways to streamline processes and reduce manual work.
