Job summary

VELUX Group is seeking a Senior Data & AI Platform Engineer to design, build and operate our core Data & AI platform landscape. You will collaborate with Data Engineers, AI Solutions Partners and Data Scientists to deliver scalable data products and AI solutions.

You will drive platform architecture, governance, security and cost efficiency while mentoring other engineers and influencing technology choices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Have 5+ years of experience designing, building and operating production-grade data platforms.
• Bring deep expertise in Snowflake and dbt.
• Have strong Python skills and experience with SQL, infrastructure as code and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate and continuously evolve the Data & AI platform landscape (Snowflake/dbt) to enable teams to develop, deploy and operate data products and AI applications.
• Design and develop core Data & AI platform capabilities, including governance, observability, security, access management and developer experience.
• Define platform architecture, engineering standards and best practices across the Data & AI landscape.
• Drive reliability, scalability and cost optimisation across Data and AI workloads, including FinOps and platform governance.
• Coach and support Data Engineers and AI Solutions Partners by promoting reusable building blocks and best practices.
