Job summary

RWE Offshore Wind GmbH is seeking a seasoned Data & AI Engineer to design, build, and scale backend services, databases, APIs, and cloud-native applications across Europe. You will integrate tools and data platforms to empower engineering and renewable energy operations.

You will lead AI-driven automation, analytics and reporting solutions while strengthening data governance and fostering engineering excellence and collaboration with product owners and SMEs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, databases and cloud-native applications.
• Define and drive the integration strategy across tools and data platforms to create centralized and scalable solution frameworks that enable business growth and operational efficiency.
• Enable seamless data exchange and interoperability across functions and operating companies.
• Lead the adoption and advancement of AI-driven automation, analytics and reporting solutions.
• Strengthen data governance and maintain trusted single sources of truth.
• Scale and improve existing tools to increase resilience, reduce risk and maximize business value.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, engineers and subject matter experts to deliver high-impact solutions.
• Drive engineering excellence and best practices across design, testing, documentation and software delivery.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and coaching across engineering teams, fostering best practices and continuous improvement.
