Job summary

Sensori is seeking a Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning function on projects, ensuring mechanical and electrical systems start, test, and prove safely to client acceptance. You will develop the commissioning plan and schedule, manage engineers and vendor resources, and integrate requirements into the construction program for predictable handover.

You will lead a team, chair coordination meetings, review method statements, and drive safety and documentation across the commissioning

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering or a trade qualification with commissioning leadership experience.
• At least seven years in commissioning, with leadership of commissioning teams on critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, sequences of operation and integrated testing.
• Experience working with client commissioning agents and formal level-based commissioning processes.
• Proven ability to plan and schedule commissioning within a construction programme and manage readiness across trades.
• Familiarity with commissioning management software and structured documentation.
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills; able to chair meetings and influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the project commissioning plan, strategy, organisation, sequences, acceptance criteria and documentation.
• Build and maintain the commissioning schedule and integrate it with the construction program.
• Lead and develop the team of commissioning engineers; coordinate vendor and subcontractor resources.
• Chair commissioning coordination meetings with construction teams, vendors and the client's commissioning agent.
• Oversee development and approval of method statements, checklists, test scripts and integrated systems tests.
• Manage energisation/start-up sequence, ensuring permits, isolations and safety controls are in place.
• Monitor test execution, witness critical tests and ensure results are recorded and accepted.
• Manage the commissioning issues log and drive closure of deficiencies.
• Plan and lead integrated systems testing with the client and third parties.
• Ensure complete turnover packages, training and documentation for handover.
• Report progress, risks and constraints to project leadership weekly and support lessons learned.
• Support pre-construction and tenders with commissioning strategies and resource plans.
