Job summary

Orsted Hornsea Project Four Limited is seeking a data-driven economist with strong analytical skills to translate market, customer, and pricing insights into actionable recommendations for energy products and pricing solutions for business customers.

You will collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts and commercial stakeholders to analyze market dynamics, develop pricing models, support regulatory changes, and lead initiatives end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required or equivalent experience with strong analytical skills and mathematics background.
• Experience with analysis, modelling, pricing, product development, or data-driven decision support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct energy market, competitor, and commercial analyses to support product and pricing decisions.
• Provide independent analysis and build expertise in areas such as imbalance forecasting and pricing models.
• Translate complex data and market insights into clear recommendations and actionable business priorities.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to develop and optimise products, services, and commercial concepts, and independently lead selected initiatives from idea through to implementation.
• Support changes driven by regulatory requirements and developments in energy markets.
• Develop customised energy solutions and contribute to complex proposals for larger business customers.

Join us in this role where you’ll translate complex market, customer, and pricing insights into recommendations and implementations that strengthen our product portfolio and commercial performance. You’ll work across product development, market analysis, and pricing initiatives, turning data into decisions and ideas into solutions for business customers within electricity, gas, biogas, and Guarantees of Origin.

You’ll be part of Product & Pricing where you, together with your colleagues, will analyze, develop, optimise, and manage energy products and pricing solutions for business customers. You will join a small, highly specialised team. In close cooperation with Product Managers, Business Analysts and commercial stakeholders, you’ll contribute to market analysis, product development, portfolio management, regulatory implementation, and customer-focused innovation.

As a team, we combine specialist expertise with close collaboration, share knowledge openly, and support each other in delivering reliable outcomes for customers and our business. You’ll help strengthen specialist cover and team resilience by embedding expertise across the organisation

You’ll play an important role in:

To succeed in the role, you:

• have a relevant master’s degree in economics, business administration, political science, social sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience, combined with strong analytical skills, a sound understanding of mathematics, and an interest in commercial issues
• have experience with analysis, modelling, pricing, product development, or data-driven decision support
• can translate complex analysis into clear priorities and practical commercial recommendations
• have an interest in energy markets, pricing, product development, and commercial development
• collaborate effectively across disciplines, challenge ideas constructively, and communicate clearly with different stakeholders
• work independently, take ownership, and structure initiatives from problem definition through implementation.
