Job summary

emagine is seeking a senior Android developer to design and build robust mobile applications using Kotlin, collaborating with cross-functional teams for backend integration.

The role emphasizes app performance, security, and user experience, with mentoring of juniors and participation in Agile processes. Starting ASAP, contract length 3 months with extension; location in Copenhagen area or USA, with flexible meetings for US team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience focused on Android mobile applications.
• Expert-level knowledge of Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
• Strong understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack components, and MVVM architecture.
• Experience with scalable and secure enterprise-grade mobile applications.
• Proficiency in REST APIs and mobile security protocols.
• Ability to optimize app performance and enhance user experience.
• Familiarity with JUnit and UI automation testing frameworks.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology in complex environments.
• Knowledge of Azure, Firebase, or similar platforms is advantageous.
• Preferred US location or flexibility to attend late meetings with a US team.
