Job summary

Deel is seeking a Senior Staff Product Designer to lead the design vision for Deel’s AI vertical—covering AI products, conversational interfaces, agents, and developer tools. You will own end‑to‑end design strategy across AI products and ensure a seamless experience across payroll, HR, and compliance.

You will mentor designers, partner with engineering and leadership, codify craft standards, and shape patterns that make Deel feel like one coherent intelligent system.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as a Product Designer in fast-paced environments.
• Deep experience designing AI-powered products including conversational interfaces.
• Proven track record of leading design for AI/ML products from zero‑to‑one and scaling.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI design strategy for Deel's AI vertical, Akai, conversations, agents, and developer tools.
• Define patterns for intelligent, agentic workflows and proactive notifications across the platform.
• Mentor designers and align with engineering, product, and leadership to set direction for AI design.
• Collaborate with the design system team to ensure consistency across AI experiences.
