Job summary

Aeven, based in Denmark, seeks a Senior Network Infrastructure Specialist to maintain and troubleshoot Nokia equipment and optical DWDM infrastructure in a 2nd-line Captive team. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, stability, and performance of mission-critical infrastructure for our customer.

A valid security clearance is a prerequisite for this position. Fluent Danish and English are required, and you will participate in on-call rotations to support incidents.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating Nokia routers/switches in large transport or service networks.
• Experience with DWDM systems—prefer Ribbon; training provided.
• Proficiency with Nokia CLI and related tooling.
• Solid knowledge of BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, MPLS, L2VPN/L3VPN, and Segment Routing.
• Experience with management platforms such as Nokia NFM-P; ITIL-based practices.
• Nokia Network Routing Specialist/Service Router certification or equivalent preferred.
• ITIL certification or demonstrable ITIL experience.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance of Nokia routers (7210, 7705, 7050) and DWDM systems.
• Lead 2nd/3rd-level troubleshooting on IP and transport layers; coordinate with vendors.
• Plan and execute routine software upgrades, patches, and config changes.
• Participate in service windows (night/weekend) to minimize disruption.
• Produce risk analyses and performance reports; optimize QoS and TE parameters.
• Maintain documentation, network diagrams, and monthly operational reports.
• Operate according to ITIL processes within ServiceNow; support on-call rotation.
