Job description

Do you have experience working with SCADA systems used in renewable energy assets? We are looking for a SCADA Specialist to join our Service team and help maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize OneView and OEM SCADA systems used in wind farms, solar plants, and substations.

In this role, you will work with operational SCADA installations already deployed at customer sites. Your focus will be ensuring stable system performance and resolving complex technical issues.

Overview

At Opoura, we develop and support SCADA solutions used to operate wind farms, solar plants, and substations worldwide and our Service Specialists ensure reliable operation of OneView. These systems typically include servers, communication interfaces, PLC controllers, and network infrastructure.

Your role

You will join a team of experienced SCADA specialists across our offices in Poland, Denmark, Germany, and the United States. Together, the team supports SCADA systems used to operate renewable energy assets worldwide.

Your work will focus on maintaining and improving the reliability of existing SCADA installations. This includes diagnosing incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions that restore stable system operation.

In this role, you will typically work with:

  • diagnosing and resolving technical incidents
  • analyzing system logs and identifying root causes
  • maintaining communication interfaces and system infrastructure
  • supporting upgrades, patching, and configuration changes

You will also collaborate closely with our R&D team to investigate complex issues and contribute operational insights that help improve and evolve the OneView platform.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot advanced incidents related to OneView systems, PLC controllers, and communication interfaces
  • Ensure reliable operation and high availability of SCADA systems at customer sites
  • Provide 2nd level support for OneView solutions and assist with integrations to third‑party SCADA and industrial control systems
  • Support project teams during handover from implementation to Service
  • Improve operational procedures, documentation, and best practices based on service experience
Technologies you will work with
  • OneView SCADA
  • Support active, reactive, voltage, and frequency control functions across SCADA systems to ensure stable and compliant grid operation.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot power control behavior remotely, ensuring alignment with grid codes and optimal performance across wind and hybrid assets
  • PLC controllers and industrial control systems
  • Communication protocols such as OPC, DNP3, Modbus, and IEC 104
Your background

We imagine that you have experience working with SCADA systems, industrial automation, or operational technology environments within renewable energy or similar industries.

The ideal candidate for this position:

  • Has experience with SCADA systems used in wind turbines, renewable energy assets, or industrial automation
  • Has strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Is comfortable working with customers and solving technical issues
  • Communicates fluently in English
  • Takes pride in delivering reliable technical solutions
