Design Build Search is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor for a Copenhagen project. You will report to the Safety Manager and drive site safety across electrical and mechanical works with a focus on robust risk management.

The role requires experience in construction safety, strong communication, and proactive leadership. Permanent position with accommodation, allowances, and flights arranged for the successful candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar Health & Safety role is essential.
• Experience in the Commercial Building Construction Sector is required.
• Data Centre project experience is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related tools.
• Strong organizational and planning skills; excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Company’s Safety Management System on site.
• Maintain the safety CMS system and site-specific Health & Safety Plans.
• Advise subcontractors on Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Conduct site inspections and audits; report findings to management.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with project and group EHS policies.
• Maintain a site training matrix and arrange training where applicable.
• Deliver Site Health and Safety Induction for new workers.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings with site teams.
• Promote safety initiatives and reward schemes onsite.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and communicate outcomes to project leadership.
• Attend daily briefings and present weekly site statistics and updates.
• Maintain records of statutory inspections and safety documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams to uphold safety standards.

One of Ireland’s leading building services contractors is seeking a professional Health & Safety Advisor for a project in Copenhagen. The role will report to a Safety Manager who is collaborative and passionate about safety and people. This employer has an impressive portfolio of completed and ongoing work on landmark projects throughout Ireland & Europe with permanent work available not just for this project. The scope of work on site is electrical and mechanical works.

Responsibilities to include:

• Implementation of the Company’s Safety Management System.
• Maintaining the safety management CMS System.
• Developing, updating and communicating site-specific Health and Safety Plans and Emergency Plans.
• Advising and assisting subcontractors in drafting and communicating Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Conducting site inspections and audits and presenting findings to the management teams.
• Ensure subcontractors are compliant and adhere to project and group EHS policies and procedures.
• Maintaining a site training matrix for all craft & staff and arranging / providing training where applicable.
• Delivery of Site Health and Safety Induction for new employees / contractors.
• Managing the delivery of toolbox talks with all site teams.
• Arranging onsite safety promotion reward schemes and initiatives.
• Conducting accident / incident investigation reports in a timely manner and communicating to project management.
• Attend daily activity briefings and whiteboard meetings.
• Presenting on a weekly basis, site statistics & project updates.
• Maintain records of statutory inspections.
• Chairing safety meetings with subcontractors.

Skills and Requirements

• Experience in a similar role is essential.
• Experience working in the Commercial Building Construction Sector.
• Data Centre project experience is advantageous.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office required.
