Job summary

KU in Copenhagen invites applications for one or two highly motivated researchers to join the CGEN and ICMM teams at the University of Copenhagen. The position focuses on transcription regulation within gene expression research, starting 1 January 2027 or after agreement.

The work includes teaching and mentorship in a laboratory setting, aligned with ongoing programs across research groups. Applicants should have a PhD in life science, strong background in transcription biology, and demonstrated

Qualifications

• You have a PhD in life science.
• Research-based teaching or mentorship.
• Experience in biochemistry, molecular cell biology, genome-wide analysis, or quantitative imaging in mammalian cells.
• Experience in transcription and/or co-transcriptional processing, ideally with RNAPII regulation.
• High degree of independence, motivation, attention to detail and proactiveness.
• Excellent time-management, self-organisation and teamwork skills.
