Job summary

DTU Electro in Denmark seeks a Research Assistant to contribute to data-distributed optical communication research based on optical frequency combs. You will work with state-of-the-art experimental platforms to investigate high-capacity fiber networks and characterize next-generation communication systems.

The role requires hands-on experimentation, advanced DSP of coherent optical data signals, and collaboration with DTU Electro researchers.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering or equivalent is required.
  • Detailed experience with optical fiber and optical communication systems.
  • Experience with advanced characterization including DSP of coherent optical signals and recirculating fiber loops.

Responsibilities

  • Experimental implementations and characterizations of data-distributed optical communication systems using optical frequency combs.
  • Characterize combs as a distributed light source supporting many fibers and investigate repeatered/unrepeatered links.
  • Apply advanced characterization of optical communication systems and DSP of coherent signals.
