Job summary

Malmö University seeks a Research assistant in chemical- and materials engineering, specialized in biomedical surface science and nanotechnology. You will develop, prepare and functionalise nanoparticles and surfaces using rSAM, performing physicochemical characterisation and protein-interaction studies.

Qualifications

• Degree at advanced level or equivalent expertise.
• Knowledge of biomedical surface science.
• Experience with rSAMs and functionalisation of materials or nanoparticles.
• Experience with surface and materials characterisation using analytical methods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experimental studies focusing on development, preparation and functionalisation of nanoparticles and surfaces using rSAM technology.
• Carry out physicochemical characterisation (ATR-FTIR, ellipsometry, SPR, UV-Vis, DLS, contact angle).
• Study protein interactions with surfaces and nanoparticles.
• Collaborate with cell biology researchers and report results regularly.
• Maintain laboratory documentation and contribute to lab data management.
