Job summary

Scan Antenna is seeking a Research and Development Engineer to join the expanding R&D Team in Skovlunde, Copenhagen, Denmark. You will contribute to development of antennas and RF electronics from concept to production, collaborating with colleagues and external partners to meet market needs.

You will optimise performance and cost while building prototypes, testing results, and documenting processes in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
  • Understanding of antenna and electromagnetic principles.
  • Understand how measurement equipment works such as VNAs, Signal Generators and Spectrum Analyzers.
  • Understand far-field antenna measurement principles.
  • Understanding of how RF components work, such as LNAs, HPAs, Filters, Couplers, etc.
  • Some experience with antenna simulation software such as CST, Ansys HFSS, Altair Feko or other.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and other.
  • English at a high proficiency is required.
  • Experience with Schematic and Layout software such as Orcad, Altium or other.
  • Experience with Computer Aided Design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCad or Creo.
  • Experience with Python programming.

Responsibilities

  • Development of antennas and RF electronics, both new and existing in-house designs.
  • Contribute from the idea phase to production in accordance with market needs.
  • Assist in optimizing performance, cost price and production needs.
  • Work with a variety of software and in some cases external partners.
  • Building and testing prototypes, documenting results and production processes.

Scan Antenna A/S is looking for a Research and Development Engineer to expand the current R&D Team in Skovlunde, Copenhagen, Denmark.

PROFILE

You have a self-motivated personality with a relevant theoretical background and interest for antennas, radio communication and RF circuitry for frequencies up to 7 GHz.

Your large interest in simulation and measurement of antennas and RF circuitry have brought you this far, and the thought of being a part of the development process from idea phase to the final sale of the product, brings a big smile to your face.

On top of that you have a team spirit and enjoy working and communicating with colleagues at all levels and functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will become part of a development team with a wide range of responsibilities, where two days are seldom the same. The main tasks are development of antennas and RF electronics, (both new and existing in-house designs), contributing from the idea phase to production in accordance with market needs.

You will be part of the design phase where you will assist in optimizing performance, cost price and production needs. To do this you will work with a variety of software and in some cases external partners. Building and testing prototypes, documenting results and production processes.

QUALIFICATIONES
Minimum
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
  • Understanding of antenna and electromagnetic principals.
