Rebootmonkey, a leader in IT solutions, is seeking Freelance Data Center Technicians to deliver on-demand support across global data centers. This role involves hardware installation, troubleshooting, and managing network operations to ensure optimal performance.

With the flexibility to work around existing commitments, technicians will receive competitive compensation and opportunities for professional growth. A minimum of 3 years of experience in data center operations is required, along with hands-on networking skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data center operations, with a focus on independent or freelance projects.
• Ability to travel to various data center locations on short notice.
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours, including nights and weekends if required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers and networking equipment.
• Monitor data center operations remotely and on-site, resolving issues quickly.
• Troubleshoot networking devices, including Cisco and Juniper routers.
• Manage both Linux and Windows-based systems, performing essential updates.
• Document installations and system performance for management.

Skills

Hands-on experience with Cisco networking devices

Hands-on experience with Juniper networking devices

Proficiency in managing Windows systems

Proficiency in managing Linux systems

Understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, VLANs)

Experience with VMware or Hyper-V

Education

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
