Planday from Xero is seeking a Data Engineer for Agentic AI & ML to bridge raw data and customer-facing intelligence. You will work with Data and Platform teams to shape upstream pipelines, preparing data for prototyping and production ML solutions in our scheduling software.

You’ll build production-ready pipelines, implement data validation and lineage, and enable agentic workflows with low latency. Collaboration and a passion for scalable data architectures are essential.

Qualifications

• Three or more years building ML/AI production data pipelines.
• Strong SQL and Python for ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with data validation and feature stores.
• Knowledge of MLOps and data versioning.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize data pipelines for AI/ML prototyping and production.
• Collaborate with Data and Platform teams to design upstream pipelines.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and scalable ML features.
• Support real-time ML inference pipelines and agentic workflows.
