This role is located in Aalborg, Denmark, focusing on test strategy, automated suites, execution of tests, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.
• Strong experience designing and maintaining automated test suites.
• Proficiency with Cypress, K6, Postman, and Allure.
• Experience in CI/CD and observability-driven environments.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to multiple concurrent engineering efforts with strong ownership
• Collaborate across teams to drive high-quality technical solutions and outcomes
• Maintain deep product and customer knowledge to inform testing strategy and risk assessment
• Design and lead testing strategies: own feature-level testing strategy and execution; review and improve test strategies
• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites
• Execute tests, report defects, and ensure high-quality validation of fixes
• Analyze test results to identify trends, root causes, and systemic quality issues
• Troubleshoot complex defects and support root cause analysis
• Review test code and provide high-quality, actionable feedback
• Drive improvements in testing processes, tools, and overall quality practices
• Estimate effort at the feature level and support delivery planning
• Deploy to and maintain test environments
• Participate in and occasionally lead production incident response
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve test design, coverage, debugging, and analysis
• Review AI-generated test artifacts and outputs to ensure accuracy and alignment
• Coach and mentor engineers on effective and responsible use of AI-assisted testing tools
• Communicate testing strategy, risks, and quality insights clearly to stakeholders

Summary:

A highly experienced quality engineer who leads testing efforts across complex systems and drives high standards for product quality. Plays a key role in mentoring others and improving testing practices, including the effective and responsible use of AI-assisted tools to enhance team productivity and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to multiple concurrent engineering efforts with strong ownership
• Collaborate across teams to drive high-quality technical solutions and outcomes
• Maintain deep product and customer knowledge to inform testing strategy and risk assessment
• Design and lead testing strategies:
  • Own feature-level testing strategy and execution
  • Review and improve test strategies created by other Quality Engineers
  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans across multiple testing types (e.g., end-to-end, API, performance, integration, accessibility)
• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites
• Execute tests, report defects, and ensure high-quality validation of fixes
• Analyze test results to identify trends, root causes, and systemic quality issues
• Troubleshoot complex defects and support root cause analysis
• Review test code and provide high-quality, actionable feedback
• Drive improvements in testing processes, tools, and overall quality practices
• Estimate effort at the feature level and support delivery planning
• Deploy to and maintain test environments
• Participate in and occasionally lead production incident response
• Leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to:
  • Improve test design, coverage, and edge case identification
  • Accelerate debugging, investigation, and failure analysis
  • Enhance understanding of system behavior and quality risks
• Review AI-generated test artifacts and outputs to ensure:
  • Accuracy, completeness, and meaningful coverage
  • Alignment with real-world user behavior and system requirements
  • Adherence to team quality standards
• Coach and mentor engineers on effective and responsible use of AI-assisted testing tools
• Reinforce expectations that AI-generated outputs meet the same quality standards as manually created tests
• Help elevate team practices for integrating AI into testing workflows
• Communicate testing strategy, risks, and quality insights clearly to stakeholders

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in software testing and test automation
• Strong experience designing and maintaining automated test suites
• Experience with a variety of testing tools (e.g., Cypress, K6, Postman, Allure)
• Experience working in CI/CD and observability-driven environments
• Strong proficiency with AI-assisted tools for testing, debugging, and analysis
• Experience applying AI tools to improve testing effectiveness and efficiency
• Ability to evaluate and improve AI-generated outputs for quality and reliability
• Deep troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to influence team practices and improve quality outcomes
• Curiosity about system behavior, risk, and continuous improvement
