Job summary

Hitachi Rail Denmark A/S seeks a Project Systems & Integration Engineer to set up and support an integrated project management landscape. You will translate business needs into secure interfaces across Oracle, Autodesk, SAP and Microsoft 365 while building daily apps and data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/SE or related field.
• Hands-on REST API, JSON, OAuth 2.0, and webhooks for system integration.
• Proficiency in Power Apps, Power Automate, C#, Python and VBA/macros.
• Strong delivery capability across requirements analysis, design, testing and deployment.
• Structured problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration in a consulting context.

Responsibilities

• Design target architecture and define interfaces, ownership, and roadmaps.
• Configure platforms including Power Platform, Oracle Primavera Cloud, Oracle Core Model, Autodesk Forma, SAP Business ByDesign, Jira, Polarion and SharePoint.
• Develop and maintain REST API interfaces and data mappings with error handling and logging.
• Create utilities and automations with C#, Python and VBA to reduce manual work.
• Define master-data rules and support data migration, reconciliation and traceability.
• Plan testing: unit, integration and UAT; coordinate releases and production handover.
• Monitor integrations, troubleshoot incidents and ensure security and performance.

About the Role

The Project Systems & Integration Engineer will set up, configure and support an integrated project management systems landscape. The role translates business and project-control requirements into secure, maintainable solutions and interfaces across Oracle, Autodesk, SAP and Microsoft 365 platforms, ensuring reliable data exchange, traceability and operational adoption. Act as execution engine for process optimization, building and maintaining daily apps, automations, and data pipelines. Combine operational curiosity with foundational low-code skills using tools like the Microsoft Power Platform and REST APIs to eliminate manual administrative burdens.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution design: Assess business processes, data flows and integration requirements; define target architecture, interfaces, ownership, standards and implementation roadmaps.
• Platform setup and configuration: Configure Microsoft Power Platform, Oracle Primavera Cloud, Oracle Core Model, Autodesk Forma, SAP Business ByDesign, Jira, Polarion and SharePoint, including structures, workflows, fields, permissions, templates and reporting views.
• Integration development: Design, build and maintain REST API interfaces between the listed platforms and other API-enabled tools, including authentication, payload mapping, validation, error handling, logging and retry mechanisms.
• Automation and programming: Develop utilities, scripts, macros and workflow automations using C#, Python, VBA and related technologies to reduce manual effort and improve data quality.
• Data and interface management: Define master-data rules, mappings and synchronization logic; support migration, reconciliation, versioning and end-to-end traceability.
• Testing and deployment: Prepare technical specifications and test cases; execute unit, integration and user-acceptance testing; coordinate releases, environment promotion and post-deployment stabilization.
• Operations and support: Monitor integrations, troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, manage changes and maintain system performance, availability and security.
• Documentation and collaboration: Maintain architecture, configuration, interface and support documentation; work closely with project controls, engineering, finance, IT, vendors and end users; provide training and handover.

Skills & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering Management or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered.

Integration expertise: Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, API testing and system-to-system integration patterns.

Programming: Working proficiency in Power Apps, Power Automate, C#, Python and VBA/macros; ability to produce readable, reusable and supportable code.

Delivery capability : Requirements analysis, solution design, data mapping, testing, deployment, documentation and production support.

Professional skills : Structured problem-solving, stakeholder communication and the ability to work independently across business and technical teams in a consulting environment.
