Job summary

ANDRITZ in Esbjerg, Denmark, seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead execution of Plant & Equipment Solutions projects. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage scope, schedule, budget and risks, and maintain strong customer relationships from handover to final acceptance.

You will work with SAP, MS Project and ERP systems to forecast financial performance and support quotations, contracts, and handovers from Sales. 20-40 travel days per year are expected.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to manage complex technical projects in industrial equipment or plant engineering.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

The Challenge You Will Own


From contract handover to final acceptance, you will lead project execution within our established framework, drive progress, support sound decision‑making and keep stakeholders aligned. Working closely with the project team and functional specialists, you will:



  • Manage a portfolio of Plant & Equipment Solutions projects—from major equipment and process-line deliveries to EPS and EPC projects—using ANDRITZ processes, governance and tools.

  • Plan and monitor project scope, schedule, budget, risks, quality and reporting in collaboration with the relevant project contributors.

  • Serve as the primary customer contact, build constructive relationships and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Coordinate interfaces across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation and commissioning, while functional specialists retain responsibility for their respective deliverables.

  • Maintain project financial data and regularly update forecasts in the ERP system, including cost, profitability and cash‑flow outlooks, in collaboration with Project Controlling and other relevant functions.

  • Report on progress, schedule, financial performance, key risks, deviations and decisions required and lead regular project and risk reviews to ensure clear ownership and follow‑up.

  • Support quotation reviews, contract clarifications and structured handovers from Sales, and manage contracts, changes and claims with the relevant commercial and technical functions.

  • Capture lessons learned and share relevant insights to support continuous improvement in future quotations, solutions and project execution.


Profile description:

What You Bring to the Project


Your technical and professional foundation



  • B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • 5–10 years of experience managing technical projects in industrial equipment, plant engineering, manufacturing, energy, process industries or a comparable sector.

  • A solid understanding of project management principles, project execution and project financial management.

  • Experience using SAP, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.

  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.

The role involves approximately 20–40 travel days per year. Travel is purposeful and focused on the moments when your presence adds the most value, including customer meetings, project reviews, installation support, commissioning and key milestones.
