Job summary

The LEGO Group is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead a digital Retail Execution capability within Global Commercial Development. You will shape the product vision and strategy for in-store and online retail experiences, collaborating with LEGO Retail, Product Development, Finance, Sales and Marketing teams.

You will drive a cross-functional roadmap, prioritize backlogs, and ensure delivery of value to customers and shoppers across markets, with a focus on safeguarding the LEGO brand

Bring your digital and retail expertise to the table to help the LEGO Group build a cutting‑edge Retail Execution strategy and shaping the organisation’s commercial actions. We are step‑changing our in‑store execution ecosystem with core capabilities to drive productivity and protecting our brand. We are therefore looking for an experienced Product Manager to hold a leading role in building our digital Retail execution capabilities, in strong collaboration with commercial teams.

Core Responsibilities
  • Develop an ambitious and clear product vision and communicate it effectively to relevant stakeholders and the team, so they’re aligned, and invested in the strategic direction
  • Translate product strategy into a product roadmap, identifying and generating new ideas that grow market share, drive commercial and business value and improve customer experience
  • Define, monitor and report the product teams quarterly objectives and key results performance, in line with our portfolio strategic objectives and key results, and wider market context
  • Lead product discovery with the team, researchers and wider stakeholders to develop, experiment and test new ideas that help shape the value proposition
  • Work closely with the product team and relevant stakeholders to ensure that the product is continually improved to deliver better outcomes for customers and shoppers.
  • Drive end‑to‑end team output strategy from inception to production
  • Integrate usability studies and research into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer‑driven design
  • Ensure communication around priorities, developments and changes are clearly understood by stakeholders across the business
  • Plan product development out into future by e.g maintaining a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team
  • Successfully identify risks and mitigations that remove risk and uncertainty early in product development
  • Promote and encourage a continuous delivery culture within the product team, with focus on releasing value incrementally to deliver against objectives and key results
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the product team, providing insight, context and additional information as needed to help understanding of what is required

We are accelerating our digital agenda to establish a more seamless experience for our customers, improving how we protect and promote the LEGO brand online and in stores, and how we better enable our sales and marketing colleagues to engage with our customers. This role will be centrally located in the global Markets & Channels organization as part of Global Commercial Development (GCD) across our B2B Market Groups and D2C LEGO Retail unit with a mandate to optimise commercial momentum, support group‑wide commercial strategies and drive commercial insights and capability building in how we activate and protect our brand and go to market. As a Product Manager for Retail Execution, you are accountable for the success of your product, setting the product vision and strategy, defining objectives and key results for the product team, in close alignment with your stakeholders. You will develop a deep understanding of market conditions and the needs of key stakeholders through research and analytics and collaborate closely with various stakeholders to develop new opportunities that improve our Retail Execution in store and enable markets to make ideal in‑store execution decisions.

Do you have what it takes?
  • Strong communication & collaboration skills as you will work with stakeholders across the entire organization including LEGO Retail, Product Development, Finance, Sales & Marketing
  • Understand the commerce business in general (sales operation, field sales management, merchandising, key account management)
  • Ensure effective leadership of the team; maintaining a continuous learning environment, setting clear objectives to ensure there is clarity on what needs to be achieved for any given work
  • Offer a supportive coaching style, proactively encouraging personal and professional development and achievement across the product team
  • Experience with engaging and working with cross‑functional teams (from tech and design to business) as well as agile development methodologies, storytelling and evangelism
  • Open to occasional travel - 10-15 international travel days per year should be expected.
