Job description

Product Manager - help shape the future of retail work in Europe

SameSystem is the leading Workforce Management platform for retail, used by 250,000+ people across 15,000+ locations in 24 markets. For over 15 years, brands like Bestseller, Pandora, IKEA, Magasin, Matas, Søstrene Grene, and Normal have relied on us to build fairer schedules and run smarter operations. We're growing fast across Europe, and with our Next-Gen Planning platform we intend to become the industry leader.

Retail workforce planning is one of the most complex operational challenges businesses face. Stores must constantly balance customer demand, labour costs, staffing levels, employee preferences, and regulatory requirements - all while delivering a great customer experience.

With Next-Gen Planning, we combine data, algorithmic optimisation, and AI-driven insights to let thousands of shops run their planning fully automatically - and that's where we need strong Product Managers. You'll identify where technology can meaningfully improve how retailers plan and operate their workforce, and turn those insights into solutions used by thousands of stores every day.

Our Product Department

Our Product Department is organised into cross-functional teams, each made up of a Product Manager, a Product Designer, Backend Developers, Frontend Developers, and Mobile Developers - everything needed to take an idea from insight to shipped feature.

The product itself is split into business domains such as planning optimisation, compliance, HR, and employee engagement. Next-Gen Planning is a unified product vision that shapes the work of every team: whichever domain you own, you'll be contributing to one coherent platform and one shared direction.

Product Managers report directly to the CEO, so the distance from insight to decision is short.

What you'll do
  • Shape and evolve the platform powering workforce management for some of Europe's most recognised retail brands
  • Work closely with customers, internal teams, and industry insights to identify the real problems retailers face in their daily operations
  • Translate those insights into innovative product capabilities that improve planning, decision‑making, and operational efficiency
  • Explore problems and solutions together with engineers and product designers, validate ideas, and guide initiatives from concept to implementation
  • Ensure that data science, algorithmic optimisation, and emerging AI technologies are applied in ways that genuinely improve the daily planning experience for retailers
  • Collaborate with engineering, customer success, sales, and partners so the product evolves based on real market needs and customer insights
What we're looking for

We value Product Manager who make bold bets, not just safe iterations - people who can spot unique opportunities, build conviction, and take calculated risks.

  • Experience as a Product Manager or in a similar product role
  • Strong ability to understand customer workflows and identify real operational problems
  • Experience working closely with engineering and design teams
  • Ability to prioritise initiatives and move ideas from concept to implementation
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • A curious and practical mindset — you enjoy understanding how businesses operate and tackling problems where technology, operations, and user experience intersect
  • Nice to have: experience with retail or workforce management, SaaS or B2B software platforms, AI-driven or data-driven products, or scale-ups and high-growth product organisations
What you'll get
  • Competitive salary from DKK 60,000/month, plus pension
  • A place where good ideas ship fast and innovation actually drives the roadmap
  • Real room to grow, in a team that values expertise and collaboration
  • A high-trust, flexible culture with plenty of freedom in how you work
  • Social life beyond the desk: employee-run clubs (sauna, sports, food tours, etc.) and regular parties
  • Unlimited snacks, fruit, coffee, soda, energy and protein drinks
Practical
  • Location: Rentemestervej 2A, 2400 København NV
  • Team: You'll own one of our business domains, leading product for a cross-functional team of a Product Designer and Backend, Frontend, and Mobile Developers.
  • Reporting: You'll report directly to the CEO and work closely with him on product direction
