Job summary

GEA Group is seeking a Product Cybersecurity Specialist based in Søborg. You will become the cybersecurity focal point in automation and influence how GEA develops secure solutions for processing plants worldwide.

You will embed Secure by Design and collaborate with international engineering teams to shape standards across a broad portfolio of automation and digital products. Two teams join forces to deliver complete automation packages for spray drying and similar plants.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of Industrial Automation Engineering experience.
• Understanding of PLC, SCADA, industrial networks and protocols.
• Experience with secure system design, network segmentation and risk assessments.
• Familiarity with digital products, software-based automation and system integration.
• Knowledge of IEC 62443, CRA, NIS2 or ISO/IEC 27001 is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Embed Secure by Design and Secure by Default from design through validation, release and post-release maintenance.
• Assess hardware, software and digital components for CRA applicability and cybersecurity classification.
• Define traceable security requirements and conduct threat modelling, risk assessments and impact analyses.
• Review automation and network architectures and advise on secure PLC, SCADA and software development.
• Coordinate design reviews, validation, security testing, vulnerability management and compliance assessments.

Are you ready to translate the EU Cyber Resilience Act and IEC 62443 into practical engineering decisions for automation products?

As Product Cybersecurity Specialist, you will become the cybersecurity focal point in automation and influence how GEA develops secure solutions for processing plants worldwide.

Based in Søborg, you will join Automation Execution: two teams working as one organization with more than 38 automation engineers. Together, we deliver complete automation packages, primarily for spray drying and freeze-drying plants, while sharing knowledge and supporting each other across disciplines.

Responsibilities / Tasks

As a Product Cybersecurity Specialist, you will embed Secure by Design and Secure by Default principles from initial design through validation, release and post-release maintenance.

Specifically, You Will

• Assess hardware, software and digital components for CRA applicability and cybersecurity classification
• Define traceable security requirements and conduct threat modelling, risk assessments and impact analyses
• Review automation and network architectures and advise on secure PLC, SCADA and software development
• Coordinate design reviews, validation, security testing, and support penetration testing and compliance assessments
• Prepare and maintain CRA and CE documentation and support SBOM, supplier assessments, vulnerability management, disclosure processes and internal training.

Your Profile / Qualifications

On a personal level, you are analytical, structured and able to turn complex requirements into clear engineering decisions. You communicate across disciplines and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

Finally, We Also Imagine That You

• Have at least 4-5 years of Industrial Automation Engineering experience
• Understand PLC, SCADA, industrial networks, instrumentation and communication protocols
• Have experience with secure system design, network segmentation, risk assessments and architecture reviews
• Understand digital products, software-based automation and system integration
• Ideally know IEC 62443, CRA, NIS2 or ISO/IEC 27001 - this is an advantage, not a requirement.
