Abacus Medicine Group is seeking a Procurement Specialist to shape how we work with suppliers across Europe. You will identify commercial optimisation opportunities, build business cases, and drive negotiations and supplier governance that deliver long-term value.

You will collaborate with Business Development, Operations, Finance and Legal to translate insights into tangible outcomes, manage complex supplier agreements, and support strategic decisions across markets.

Drive meaningful change

As a Procurement Specialist you will help shape how we work with suppliers across Europe. You will identify and drive commercial optimisation opportunities across our European operations, leading initiatives that improve efficiency, strengthen supplier relationships, and create long-term value. Working closely with stakeholders across Business Development, Operations, Finance and Legal, you will translate insights into business cases, negotiations, and tangible business outcomes.

Your Main Responsibilities Include
  • Identifying and prioritising commercial optimisation opportunities across supplier agreements, pricing structures, and commercial models.
  • Building business cases and recommendations that support strategic decision‑making and create measurable business value.
  • Partnering with stakeholders across Business Development, Operations, Finance, and Legal to align priorities and drive decisions.
  • Translating business needs into commercial and contractual solutions while balancing commercial opportunities and risk.
  • Developing sourcing strategies and leading supplier negotiations, contract renewals, and tender processes.
  • Evaluating suppliers, commercial models, and total cost of ownership to secure optimal commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborating closely with Legal to assess contractual and commercial risks and support negotiations and decision‑making.
  • Driving commercial initiatives from opportunity identification through implementation and value realisation.
  • Supporting the development of supplier governance frameworks, commercial principles, and best practices across the Group.
Your Profile

You are a commercial minded professional who enjoys combining analytical thinking with stakeholder management and negotiations. You are comfortable challenging established ways of working, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving initiatives across multiple functions and markets.

Additionally, We Imagine That You Have
  • A relevant academic degree within Law (Cand. Jur), Business Administration and Commercial Law (Cand. Merc. Jur), or a similar field.
  • 7+ years of experience within strategic procurement, sourcing, contract management, or related fields.
  • Experience working with transport, distribution, logistics, or similarly complex supplier‑driven environments is considered an advantage.
  • Solid commercial acumen with experience managing complex supplier agreements and leading commercial negotiations.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a proven ability to identify optimisation opportunities, build business cases, and translate insights into tangible business value and strategic decisions.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups and balancing commercial, operational and contractual considerations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and create alignment across functions.
