You will qualify equipment (NIR, PSD, Karl Fischer, pH meters, balances, pipettes), support method development and validation, troubleshoot issues, manage lifecycle and SOP changes in GMP, and help implement new technologies across production.

Qualifications

  • Relevant academic degree in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering or related discipline.
  • GMP experience in a QA/QC environment and analytical lab experience.
  • Experience with method development, validation and data evaluation.
  • Familiarity with change control, deviation handling and SOP management.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team Specialized QC Utility as a Process Scientist in Kalundborg.

Your new role

As Process Scientist, you will work across two connected areas - analytical equipment management and analytical technology - ensuring the tools and methods behind our quality control and production processes are qualified, reliable and advancing. Your work will directly support the quality and release of medicines for people living with serious chronic diseases. You will join a rapidly growing team where technical curiosity and hands‑on expertise drive real progress every day.

Moreover, you will have the responsibility to

  • Qualify and implement new analytical equipment - including NIR, PSD, Karl Fischer, pH meters, balances and pipettes - expanding the laboratory's capabilities to meet growing demand.
  • Collaborate with process development and manufacturing development colleagues to develop and validate methods, from study design through hands‑on work, data evaluation and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot equipment‑related issues and provide hands‑on support to laboratory colleagues, minimizing downtime and keeping QC analysis on track.
  • Conduct annual life‑cycle management activities, assessing equipment performance trends and recommending actions to maintain reliability and compliance.
  • Manage change requests, deviations and SOP updates, ensuring all documentation meets GMP requirements.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new technologies across production areas as the team scales its capabilities.
Your new department

The team you will join is named Specialized QC Utility and consists of 16 colleagues. Specialized QC Utility is part of Global QC, supporting site KA. The department consists of 3 teams with approx. 70 lab technicians and chemists. Specialized QC Utility is responsible for equipment in the lab and NIR instruments placed in the PS‑API production.

Your skills & qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have a relevant academic degree in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering or a related scientific discipline. Moreover

  • Experience in working with equipment in a GMP environment and Experience with analytical equipment at work in a quality control laboratory
  • Preferably experience with systems like LIMS, TIMS, and a natural flair for IT
  • Experience with method development, validation and data evaluation, including preparation of study protocols and reports.
  • Familiarity with change control, deviation handling and SOP management within GMP.
  • A proactive mindset with a can‑do attitude, combined with technical skills and a strong interest in technology
  • Professional proficiency in English and Danish

Useful, but not essential:

  • Familiarity with IT systems used for equipment management or laboratory documentation.

You have excellent communication skills and can establish and nurture relationships across teams and departments. Salary:For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 570,200.00 to 838,100.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate's skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
