Novo Nordisk is seeking a Principal Data Platform Engineer to steer the DataCore Platform's technical direction, shaping standards and architecture for a secure, scalable data & analytics platform. You will influence global teams and ensure regulatory alignment across the enterprise.

You will mentor senior engineers, collaborate with security and governance teams, and drive platform modernization within a complex global context.

Formación

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical field.
• Extensive experience in enterprise platform engineering and cloud infrastructure.
• Proven expertise with Terraform, AWS, Azure, Databricks, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code and platform automation.
• Experience in highly regulated environments such as pharmaceutical, healthcare or financial services.
• Strong governance, security, compliance and operational excellence.

Responsabilidades

• Drive technical leadership and platform engineering strategy for the DataCore Platform.
• Define and implement engineering standards, reusable patterns and platform best practices, including Infrastructure as Code and automation.
• Lead architecture decisions across NovoNordisk DataCore Platform team, AWS, Azure, Terraform and Databricks, ensuring secure, scalable, reliable and compliant solutions.
• Support and enable Data Mesh aligned platform capabilities.
• Mentor senior engineers and strengthen engineering excellence across global teams.
• Influence platform evolution and technical decision-making across global stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with our quality management system.

As Principal Data Platform Engineer, you will set the technical direction for the Novo Nordisk DataCore Platform, the enterprise data and analytics platform built on Databricks. You will shape engineering standards, guide architecture and strengthen how scalable, secure and compliant platform capabilities are built. Your work will enable critical business and scientific use cases across the organisation, helping teams deliver progress that reaches people living with serious chronic diseases.

What you'll bring

• A Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical field.
• Extensive experience in enterprise platform engineering and cloud infrastructure.
• Proven expertise with Terraform, AWS, Azure, Databricks, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• A strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code and platform automation.

You will join the DataCore Platform team within Enterprise IT & Quality, where colleagues work across the Novo Nordisk value chain to deliver trusted technology, high quality and responsible ways of working. You will collaborate closely with global engineering teams, and partner with security, governance and enterprise architecture teams to guide platform direction.

Working across organisational boundaries, you will bring perspectives together, create clarity on priorities and help teams move at pace, so the platform keeps delivering value for the business and scientific use cases that depend on it.

Salary

Annual B ase S alary ranges from 742,600.00 to 1,091,600.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
