Expected start date and duration of employment

This is a 27-months position starting on January 1, 2027, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Job description

The successful applicant will join our efforts to explore new types of nonthermal physics in strongly-correlated quantum systems. Such systems can display highly complex and unusual dynamics, and the successful applicant will contribute to a new research project on the dynamics of quantum many-body scars. The research will involve the construction of quantum models and running simulations on our computer cluster. The successful applicant will also contribute to disseminating the results at conferences and meetings.

Your profile
  • You must have obtained a PhD degree in physics or a closely related field before the starting date of the position.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English are required.
  • You are expected to have a solid background in quantum physics and experience with quantum many-body scars is an advantage.
  • Experience within numerical methods for quantum many-body systems is required.
  • Personal and collaborative skills are also important.
Who we are

Our research group tackles exciting and challenging research questions within theoretical, strongly-correlated, quantum many-body physics using mainly numerical tools. We emphasize a positive work environment with open discussions, diversity, and teamwork. Our research has connections to both condensed matter and quantum optics.
