DTU Energy is seeking a postdoc to advance scanning NV magnetometry for visualizing buried functional processes in energy materials. You will collaborate with material scientists and simulations experts to apply NV-based measurements and develop novel sensing methodologies.
The role emphasizes teamwork, English communication, and contributions to an international research environment at DTU Energy.
Do you want to contribute to a greener future by introducing state-of-the-art scanning nitrogen-vacancy (NV) magnetometry to visualize buried functional processes in energy and electronic materials that are otherwise inaccessible to materials scientists?
At DTU Energy, our research targets exactly this, and to reach these goals, we are looking for a postdoc to work at the interface between future energy materials and state-of-the-art quantum sensing using NV magnetometry.
You will work in a large team and must therefore both thrive in team-based research as well as contribute to a productive and pleasant research environment. During the project, you will work closely together with material scientists providing you with energy/electronic materials and devices as well as colleagues who will complement your work with DFT, phase-field and FEM simulations. You will also have the opportunity to carry out simulations applying our pre-established numerical models, if you so desire.
Your primary responsibilities will be to:
Qualified applicants must have:
As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).
DTU is a leading technical university globally recognized for the excellence of its research, education, innovation and scientific advice.
