Job summary

Aarhus University invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral position in multibody dynamics and hybrid testing with application to floating wind turbines. The successful candidate will develop computational methods for multibody dynamics and perform hybrid testing experiments, starting 1 February 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The position includes teaching in structural dynamics and multibody dynamics, supervising MSc and PhD projects, and disseminating results through journals

Qualifications

• PhD in structural dynamics or related field.
• Engineering background (mechanical or civil).
• Experience with hybrid testing and multibody dynamics.
• Programming skills in scientific computing (Python/MATLAB).

Responsibilities

• Develop computational methods for multibody dynamics.
• Perform hybrid testing experiments related to floating wind turbines.
• Support teaching activities in structural dynamics and multibody dynamics.
• Disseminate work through international journals and conferences.
• Co-supervise MSc and PhD projects in the subject areas.
