Aalborg University invites applications for a 2.5 year postdoctoral position in generative AI and educational research. The role is a 30-hour-per-week part-time appointment starting 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter, with potential extension if teaching is assigned.

You will investigate generative AI in Danish upper secondary education as part of the Nordic-Baltic GAIYA project, collaborating with an international research network and contributing to publications and policy

Qualifications

• The position involves solid research experience in both qualitative and quantitative methods within the humanities or social sciences.
• You need to be able to plan, conduct, transcribe, and code interviews and focus groups with upper secondary students, teachers, and school leaders, and translate materials into coherent analyses.
• Experience with survey design, handling larger datasets, and comparative analyses across countries is advantageous.
• Ability to write high‑quality academic texts and engage in dissemination activities is expected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct local Danish data collection and perform collaborative analyses of the data.
• Conduct and analyse focus group interviews with Danish upper secondary students.
• Conduct and analyse teacher interviews with Danish upper secondary teachers and institutional leaders.
• Gather quantitative survey data from Danish upper secondary students in collaboration with consortium partners.
• Compare cross-national data and analyse complete datasets with consortium partners.
• Gather and perform preliminary policy analysis of digital and AI literacy in Danish policies.
• Participate in official meetings, workshops, and online group meetings.
• Facilitate communication and dissemination of project results through project channels.
