Job summary

A postdoctoral position is offered by the Danish School of Education (DPU) at Aarhus University, based at Emdrup with travel to Aarhus and Copenhagen. The role focuses on diversifying embodiment in Danish vocational education, combining ethnography, embodiment studies and disability studies.

The successful candidate will conduct fieldwork, collaborate with the PI, publish in international journals and participate in seminars with the advisory board.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in planning, conducting, analysing and disseminating ethnographic fieldwork.
• An internationally oriented research profile documented by a PhD and/or publications.
• Experience in independently managing research projects.
• Relevant teaching experience at university level.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct ethnographic fieldwork and analyse data.
• Publish one single‑author article and one co‑authored article in international journals.
• Organise dissemination events with the PI and advisory board.
• Lead a subproject on apprentice–workplace interactions with nonhuman actors.
• Undertake a two‑month research visit at a relevant institution outside Denmark.
• Contribute to the academic environment in the Department of Education Studies.
