Job summary

Copenhagen Business School invites applications for a two-year postdoc position in the field of Economics of Science and Innovation at the Department of Strategy and Innovation. The expected starting date is 1 December, 2026, or earliest possible.

The ideal candidate will lead data collection, preparation, and econometric analysis, with a strong interest in NLP on large text data. PhD in a related field and movement to Denmark are expected; project offers no teaching obligation.

Qualifications

• Applicants will have completed a PhD in Management, Economics, or another related social science discipline before the beginning of the position.
• A solid academic record and consistent work ethic are required.
• Well-developed organizational and oral/written communication skills are required.
• Motivation for research is required. The ideal candidate will be thinking of this position as a platform to build skills toward taking on a research professorship in the future.
• Willingness to move to and live in Denmark.
• Working knowledge of econometric software (such as Stata or R) and general programming tools (such as Python) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead in collecting, preparing, and analyzing data to support the project.
• Join as a co-author on work packages within the project or propose own ideas within its scope.
• Up to 20 percent of time can be used for an existing research pipeline.
• There is no teaching obligation associated with this position.
