Job summary

DTU Wind and Energy Systems in Roskilde, Denmark, seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher to develop wind turbine aerodynamics methods and solutions. You will join an international team and contribute to experimental and numerical rotor design methods, focusing on aerodynamics and aeroacoustics.

The role involves modeling, analysis, and optimization of wind turbine rotors, with opportunities to publish in journals and present at conferences.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Wind Energy, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Strong background in wind turbine aerodynamics.
  • Experience with CFD.
  • Experience with low fidelity modeling of aerodynamics.
  • Experience with numerical optimization.
  • Proficient in Python and numerical packages.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Model rotor aerodynamics with low and high fidelity methods.
  • Analyze flow on and around rotors and airfoils.
  • Perform multidisciplinary modeling and optimization of wind turbine rotors.
  • Design wind turbine airfoils with multiple constraints.
  • Disseminate key results in peer-reviewed journals and at conferences.
