Job summary

Vestas seeks an accomplished Network Specialist for Plant Operations Offshore to support global offshore wind projects. You will troubleshoot, commission, and implement network solutions for SCADA and Power Plant Controller systems and collaborate with engineers, technicians, and service teams across regions.

You will work in a safety-conscious, execution-focused environment with opportunities to mentor colleagues and drive continuous improvement while staying aligned with Vestas' global

Qualifications

• Relevant technical education in networking, engineering, computer science, automation, or related field.
• CCNA level or similar is a strong advantage for Cisco/industrial networks.
• Experience with industrial routers, switches, firewalls, and remote access solutions.
• Understanding OT cybersecurity principles and industrial protocols (MODBUS, IEC104, OPC, etc.).
• Experience with technical documentation, debugging, and commissioning/service support.
• Very good English skills, written and spoken.
• Valid driving license B.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and secure, well-documented systems.
• Clear communication to engineers, technicians, and customers.
• Mentoring mindset to support less experienced colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills for prioritizing multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Act as an internal network consultant and escalation point for incidents and questions.
• Provide operational support to offshore wind farms for troubleshooting, commissioning, and network implementation.
• Participate in remote support and on-call rotations for site technicians and stakeholders.
• Offer technical advice on network design, troubleshooting, and best practices.
• Mentor less experienced engineers in daily technical work.
• Coordinate with 1st and 3rd level support on work instructions and documentation.
• Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement of SCADA network solutions.

Plant Operations Offshore, a sub department of Technical Operations Offshore, supports the global Offshore business with deep technical expertise and acts as the link between Engineering and local business units.Our team provides high-quality support to service technicians, delivers technical troubleshooting on SCADA and Power Plant Controller systems, and ensures secure and stable operation across offshore wind farms. In addition, we offer commissioning support for new wind farm SCADA systems, helping to ensure a smooth and secure integration into operational environments.Being part of Plant Operations Offshore means joining a highly experienced, dedicated team that plays a key role in implementing Vestas' strategy, supporting Service organizations worldwide, and ensuring strong customer focus, operational excellence, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Act as an internal network consultant and escalation point for advanced incidents and technical questions

• Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement of SCADA network solutions while remaining execution-oriented

Qualifications

• Relevant technical education in networking, engineering, computer science, automation, or a related field
• Solid hands-on experience with Cisco equipment or equivalent industrial networking platforms, with CCNA level or similar as a strong advantage
• Experience with industrial routers, switches, firewalls, remote access solutions, and structured troubleshooting
• Good understanding of OT cybersecurity principles and industrial communication protocols such as MODBUS, IEC104, OPC, or similar
• Experience with technical documentation, debugging techniques, and support of commissioning or service activities
• Very good English skills, both spoken and written
• Valid driving license B
• Strong analytical mindset and systematic problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as in cross-functional teams
• High attention to detail and commitment to secure, stable, and well-documented systems
• Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to engineers, technicians, and customers
• Mentoring mindset and willingness to support development of less experienced colleagues
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic operational environment
