Job summary

DTU - Technical University of Denmark seeks a PhD candidate to study thyroid gland development and endocrine disruption with advanced molecular and transcriptomic approaches. You will collaborate within the Research Group for Molecular and Reproductive Toxicology to advance toxicology methods and regulatory science.

The project emphasizes in vivo, ex vivo and in vitro studies, model system development, and international collaborations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (120 ECTS) or equivalent; two-year master's level.
• Strong English language skills, verbal and written.
• Excellent communication, prioritization and organizational abilities.
• Scientific curiosity with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Experience with laboratory work (cell/stem cell culture, molecular techniques, or animal studies) would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental and mechanistic toxicology studies on thyroid development.
• Perform in-depth histological and molecular characterization of tissues.
• Carry out transcriptomics experiments and downstream bioinformatics analysis.
• Engage in method development and optimization with colleagues.
• Prepare scientific papers and present work at meetings and conferences.
