Job summary

Copenhagen Business School (CBS) invites applications for one PhD position on the drivers of green capital accumulation in global value chains, located at the Department of Management, Society and Communication (MSC).

The PhD is a three-year full-time scholarship with teaching obligations, fully salaried under the Danish collective agreement, and includes opportunities to attend international conferences and spend time at a visiting research institution.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a social sciences field or equivalent.
• Grade requirements: master's thesis grade 10; top 40% of class accepted if needed.
• Weighted GPA thresholds: 8.2 combined or 9.5 for master's only.
• Completed before the application deadline.
• Good command of academic English in writing and speaking.
• Ability to conduct fieldwork in Bahasa Indonesia is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop an independently written PhD project description related to GreenWorlds.
• Empirically study two agro-food value chains (biodiesel and avocados), especially in Indonesia.
• Publish research findings and present at international conferences.
