Job summary

DTU is offering a PhD scholarship in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at the DTU Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering Pilot Plant. The project focuses on reactor engineering and biotechnological research with international collaboration with Technische Universität München (TUM) as alliance partner, including an external research stay.

The successful candidate will join a three-year, full-time PhD program starting 1 January 2027 or after mutual agreement, enrolled in a DTU

Qualifications

  • Two-year master's degree or equivalent in (bio)chemical engineering, process engineering, bioengineering, biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology or similar.
  • Interest in experimental laboratory work and conceptual/theoretical work is expected.
  • Experience with microbial cultivations and analytics and numerical programming are an advantage.
