Job summary

Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU Space) invites applications for a PhD position embedded in the Primordial Universe team to study the baryonic matter in galaxies and their environments using JWST and ALMA data. The successful candidate will join international collaborations and contribute to teaching at the graduate level.

The project is funded under an ERC Starting Grant, with a 3-year appointment and a start date in 2027.

Qualifications

• Two-year master's degree or equivalent; provide documentation for ongoing master's if not yet graduated.
• Strong interest in galaxy formation, Lyman-alpha, ISM/CGM evolution.
• Experience with spectroscopic data analysis, ideally with JWST and/or ALMA.

Responsibilities

• Work on observational studies of galaxies and their environments.
• Collaborate with international teams and observing programs (JWST/ALMA).
• Teach courses appropriate for the graduate level at DTU.
