Job summary

The PhD fellowship in antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) engineering is hosted by Biotech Research and Innovation Centre (BRIC) at the University of Copenhagen. The project focuses on engineering ADCs for improved internalization and lysosomal delivery, including bispecific constructs for enhanced trafficking.

The work spans cancer cell models and in vivo tumor studies, within an international research setting. Salary follows Danish agreements; expected start is 15 January 2027, with a fixed-term

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with production, validation and payload conjugation of recombinant antibodies.
  • Experience with cytotoxicity, cell viability and drug screening assays in mammalian cancer cell lines.
  • Experience with flow cytometry is required.
  • International research laboratory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Produce, purify and validate recombinant and bispecific antibodies.
  • Conjugate antibodies to cytotoxic payloads and characterize ADCs.
  • Perform cell-based assays: uptake, internalization, flow cytometry, drug screening and cytotoxicity assays.
  • Conduct in vivo efficacy studies in tumor models.
  • Publish and present findings at international conferences.
  • Carry out an independent research project under supervision.
  • Complete PhD courses (~30 ECTS) and participate in research stays.
