Job summary

Qualifications

• A technical education at technician level.
• Experience within chemical production, pharmaceutical manufacturing or a related technical area is preferred.
• Ability to follow established procedures and complete semi-routine tasks with moderate supervision.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Proactive, flexible and solution-oriented.
• Ability to work responsibly with documentation, production data and quality requirements.
• Familiarity with regulated manufacturing standards is useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform general operations in a chemical production facility, supporting the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates and excipients.
• Carry out chemical reaction operations, work-up and purification activities, as well as buffer preparation and the handling of chemicals.
• Complete cleaning, environmental monitoring and good housekeeping activities to help maintain a safe and reliable working environment.
• Plan, perform and document tasks within your area of expertise, following current Good Manufacturing Practice requirements and relevant procedures.
• Operate computer systems, manage data carefully and help ensure data integrity throughout your work.
• Support the maintenance, control and calibration of equipment and systems, including relevant standard operating procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, troubleshooting, colleague training and performance and planning board meetings.
