SmartRecruiters, Inc. is offering a part-time data engineering role for a Master’s student near Copenhagen. You will build production‑grade data pipelines, transform data, and contribute to cloud platform development using SQL, Python, and PySpark.

You’ll work closely with client teams and learn from senior engineers in a dynamic, client‑facing environment. The role emphasizes real-world data challenges, modern data stack adoption, and opportunities to grow technical and communication skills

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Master’s degree and have a relevant Bachelor’s degree.
• 1 year left in studies preferred, but not required.
• Proficient in Python or SQL and familiar with data pipelines.

Are you currently taking your Master’s education, and would you like to turn data into useful knowledge? And would you like to work directly with clients while keeping up to date with new technologies? Work Assignments

This is mainly a hands‑on coding role focused on turning complex data challenges into production‑ready solutions, but you will also have some client contact.

Specifically, you will:

Build robust data pipelines and models that streamline the ingestion, transformation, and delivery of data.

Implement and develop modern data platforms through DevOps & CI/CD practices.

Collaborate with our clients’ engineers, analysts, & business users to solve business issues and ensure lasting value.

You will be guided by & learn from our many senior data engineers.

About You

You are a Master’s student within a relevant field and hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree. Ideally, you have around 1 year left on your studies. Furthermore, you:

Are proficient in either Python, SQL, PySpark, or APIs.

Have an analytical approach to problem-solving, with a strong interest in how to drive business improvement using data.

Have good communication skills and the curiosity to engage with clients on projects.

Have experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, Fabric, dbt, or AI technologies, but if you don’t have any, no worries - we will teach you!

Are based near Copenhagen and fluent in English.
